Fukuryu Ramen Wadachi

The stamp rally continues. For my third shop I decided to visit a shop I had already been to before: Fukuryu Ramen Wadachi. I had nothing but good things to say on my first visit, so I was excited to have another excuse to stop by. Instead of getting the standard ramen, I went for the wackier Maze-Nibo Junkie, an abura soba dish filled with sardine.

The Bowl
The noodle-y mixture was a bramble of thick and chewy noodles sopping with sardine flavors and salt, with a little bit of spice from the various fish powders mixed in. Even the chashu absorbed the sodium and sea; making the whole thing a bit too much for me to take. The rice in the end brought the flavor down to just about the right amount, but I still needed a few cups of water to take it down.

Would I Go Again?
Yes, though I would order something different.

Should You Go?
If you love sardines, try the maze soba. If not, their other dishes are excellent, so go check those out.
