Menya Eguchi

One of the shops that had been on my list since I moved to Osaka was the well-known Eguchi in Esaka. It's known for it's simple tsukemen. Being outside of Osaka city, it's just far enough out of my reach that I didn't feel like trekking all the way there without an additional reason. My friend had just gotten a job in Esaka, though, and the trip was set.

Information

The Bowl
Thin tsukemen broth, but, rich, slightly fishy, and delicious. The noodles were medium-thick, but they went down easy and took in the light soup very well. Some good chashu, menma, and onions to go with it and you have a refreshing but excellent tsukemen.

Would I Go Again?
Yeah, if I can make it up that far.

Should You Go?
Yes, if you're willing to leave the city.
