Buta Kong

It's a new year, and it's time for a new shop. Buta Kong is in Nakazakicho, a convenient location for me, and offers a Niigata-style shoyu ramen, and a shellfish shio ramen. I didn't even know Niigata-style shoyu ramen was a thing, so that's what I went for.

The Bowl
The shoyu soup was not too sharp, and filled with the sweet taste of ginger. The noodles were yellow and curly, also with a strong ginger kick. The chashu was nothing special, and the other toppings too were decent.

Would I Go Again?
It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special. I won't be back.

Should You Go?
This place is for ginger lovers. Anyone else can skip it.
