Dotonbori Ramen Festa (Gyukotsu Ramen Matador)

Smooth sailing so far, two shops down and three to go. Next up was Gyukotsu Ramen Matador, a famous shop in Tokyo that I've wanted to visit for a while. I don't make it to Tokyo too often, though, so I was happy for an opportunity to try their ramen in Osaka. I went up to their stand and ordered their Zeitaku Shio Ramen.

The Bowl
Matador's ramen was a light shio, but covered in deep beefy umami. The thin noodles, too, showed this off, and as you slurped them you could taste the beef that was present throughout the bowl. And of course on top of everything were a couple of slabs of roast beef, not different to what you'd get on a good sandwich, but because of the makeup of the broth, they strangely fit with the ramen. It was my first taste of beef shio ramen, and hopefully not my last.
