My standard for a trip to Tokyo is one bowl out of convenience at Tokyo Ramen Street. This time I visited Kizo, a shop with shio ramen and pieces of Sendai's famous beef tongue.

The Bowl
The base of the broth was pretty simple, but there was so much pickle-y negi and sesame seeds to give it flavor. It made it taste like slurping flat noodles dipped in sesame oil. The chashu was, of course, ultra-tender beef tongue that still kept that earthy flavor.

Should You Go?
