Tori Soba Morizo

The next ramen shop by the team behind Kasumi! I went on opening day and got the special chicken soba.

香澄のラーメン屋さんの系列で新しい店です!オーブンの日に行って、特製とりそばにしました。

The Bowl
The soup was a dark shoyu but very drinkable, with light tones of chicken. The noodles were flat like kishimen, and I was surprised how well they went with a soup this thin. There was a good mix of pork and chicken chashu, and the soup was good to the last drop.

スープは黒い系の醤油でした。鶏の香りがして、飲みやすかったです。麺はきしめんみたいに平たくて、サラッとしているスープなのに相性が良かったです。鶏とぶたのチャーシューが何枚か乗っていて、スープは最後の一滴まで美味しかったです。

Nara Ramen Haku

At time of writing it's been a very long time since I've gone to this event, so in the interest of brevity I will reduce this to just pictures. Stay tuned for the next shop visit for a real review!

正直に言うとこのイベントはだいぶ前だったので、ちゃんとしたレビューじゃなくて写真だけにします。また今度の楽しみにして!

Shinise Ramen Kamitora

It had been a while since I'd been to a Kamitora, but the sign outside that they were doing a collaboration with Junk Story was enough to drag me in. I walked in and ordered the JUNK Shoyu.

神虎に行くのが久しぶりでしたけど、Junk Storyとのコラボを見た瞬間に、行かなあかんと思いました。入ってみて、JUNK醤油をオーダーしました。


The Bowl
I normally associate Junk Story with clean shio ramen, but this was a big fatty, garlicky mess. The combination of garlic and pork back fat kept the ramen juicy, and tasting a bit like jiro-kei ramen. The noodles kept the best flavors of the broth, leaving the harsher points and back fat behind. The chashu was not as stellar, but I was glad to have tried the bowl overall, and sad that this was a limited time deal.

Junk Storyと聞いたらすっきりとした塩ラーメンのイメージがしていますけど、このラーメンは脂っぽくてニンニク臭かったです。ニンニクと背油でラーメンの味が強くて、若干次郎系に似ていました。麺はスープの味のいい部分を吸収しました。チャーシューはちょっと薄かったですけど、全体的に美味しくて、また食べられないのがちょっと残念です。

Shiromaru Base

I've been to a different Shiromaru Base before, but this time I went for their special shoyu: spicy Nakasu black.

白丸ベースの違う支店に行ったことがありましたけど、今回スパイシー中洲ブラックの醤油ラーメンにしました。

The Bowl
From afar this looked like a regular bowl of shoyu, but in addition to the dark soy sauce was a mix of spicy rayu oil. It was spicy and there was maybe even a bit too much of it, but it was good on its own, with the wheaty noodles, and with the creamy egg.

遠くから見るとふつうの醤油ラーメンに見えるかもしれませんけど、濃いめの醤油だけじゃなくて、辛口のラー油が混ざっていました。辛くて、一瞬やりすぎかなと思いましたけど、そのままでも、麦の香りの麺とでも、とろける煮玉子とでも相性がばっちりでした。
